Unique Learner Number (ULN)
Students studying certain recognised qualifications with Oxqual may need a Unique Learner Number.
A Unique Learner Number, commonly known as a ULN, is a 10-digit number used to identify learners throughout their education and training.
Your ULN is linked to your Personal Learning Record, which contains information about your recognised qualifications, training and achievements.
Your ULN remains the same throughout your learning journey, even if you study with different education or training providers.
You may already have a ULN if you have previously studied with a school, college or recognised training provider in the UK.
You can usually find your ULN on a qualification certificate or results statement. If you cannot find it, Oxqual may be able to retrieve or create one for you through the Learning Records Service.
Please provide your ULN during enrolment if you already have one. Do not request or use a second ULN.
You may be asked to provide identification such as:
- Valid passport
- UK photocard driving licence
- Birth or adoption certificate
- National identity card
- Biometric residence permit or immigration document
- Another official form of identification
ULN and your Personal Learning Record
Your Personal Learning Record may contain details of recognised qualifications, training courses and learning achievements associated with your ULN.
Keeping your personal details accurate helps ensure that your qualifications are recorded against the correct learner account.
Oxqual may use your personal information to search for, verify or create your ULN as part of the enrolment and registration process.
Please contact the Oxqual support team if your name, date of birth or other personal information has changed.
